Example of the Activities 
In 1988, a lecture was given and a music performance was
arranged by some members of the Association for students in
the Department of Music of the University of California,
Los Angeles (UCLA), and also at the University of Washington
in Seattle.
Since 1988, a lecture and a concert are held every year in
conjunction with summer program for foreign students at the
International Christian University in Tokyo.
In May, 1989, concerts with lecture, and a symposium on
Japanese and Korean music were held in Seoul, Korea.

In November, 1990, concerts with lecture were held in three
European cities, Cologne, Vienna, and Bratislava.

In March, 1993, concerts with lecture were held in
three European cities, Frankfurt, Rome and Lisbon.

In June, 1995, concerts with lecture were held in three
European cities, Budapest, Cracow and Warsaw.

In November 1998, concerts with lecture were held in three
European cities Cologne, Rome and Brussels.

In November 2000, concerts with lecture were held in
Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.
The Association also held the same type of concerts with
lecture in English in Tokyo in 1990, 1992, 1994,1997 and 1998.
The Association published music score of "Hekitan No.1"
and "Hekitan No.4" and compiled a database of modern
Japanese traditional music and a multimedia database
accessible via internet of Japanese music played by
traditional Japanese music instruments.
